Description:

Cappadocia Adventure – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Journey from Alanya to the Land of Fairy Chimneys

Leave the Mediterranean coast behind and step into a surreal world carved from stone. This 2-day adventure takes you from vibrant Alanya to the heart of Cappadocia, where nature and history intertwine in one of Turkey’s most iconic landscapes.

What Awaits You

Your journey begins with an early morning departure, crossing the majestic Taurus Mountains before reaching the vast and fertile Konya Plain — the largest plain in Anatolia. This scenic drive alone offers a glimpse into the geographical diversity of Turkey, from rugged peaks to endless farmlands.

Upon arrival in Cappadocia, you’ll explore the region’s most remarkable landmarks — from fairy chimney valleys to a mysterious underground city once used for shelter and survival.

You’ll also visit Uçhisar Castle, one of the best viewpoints in the region, and stroll through unique landscapes that seem almost otherworldly. A professional guide will share captivating stories and local insights, helping you truly connect with the region’s spirit.

Your accommodation includes a night at a comfortable hotel, with the option to stay in a traditional cave room for a more immersive experience. Throughout the trip, there will be visits to local artisan workshops, where you can observe pottery-making, shop for souvenirs, and experience the creativity of Cappadocia’s people.

Optional Experiences

- To personalize your journey, several optional activities are available:

- Hot air balloon ride at sunrise or simply watching the sky fill with balloons

- Horseback riding through scenic valleys

- Jeep safari for a rugged adventure

- Whirling Dervish (Sufi) ceremony for a spiritual cultural encounter

- Traditional Turkish night in a cave restaurant, with dance, music, and local cuisine

- Pottery workshop participation

- Taste the famous “testi kebab”, a local dish cooked in a clay pot and opened with a show

An excellent excursion from start to finish. Coach stopped every 2 hours or so and took us to various locations/shops. The guide provided a comprehensive history of Cappadocia with excellent language skills in Turkish, English and Russian. Definitely worth the 2 day trip
